Commercial Property Executive (CPE) awarded the Ferry Building in San Francisco and Harlow in Hollywood with 2019 Distinguished Achievement Awards in October. Selected by an independent panel of industry experts, award winners represent the best deals, development and design in commercial real estate.

Ferry Building was honored with the Gold distinction for Best Investment Transaction: Single Property. The deal was applauded for its “formidable complexity,” which involved navigating an open bid process, forming a joint venture agreement with Allianz Real Estate and working with an array of public agencies, including the Port of San Francisco, the Historic Preservation Commission and the San Francisco Bay Conservation, to name a few.

Harlow was awarded the Silver award for Best Unbuilt project. Inspired by the glass stages of the 1920s, judges were impressed by the “architectural expressiveness” of the design, and noted its ambitious approach to sustainability.

The 2019 CPE Distinguished Achievement Awards honored winners at a ceremony 10 Grand Central in New York.

Earning the ENERGY STAR label for 52 buildings (totaling over 10.2 million square feet), with an average Energy Star score of 86.9, and 5 properties earning the label for the first time
